The tropical depression Igme formed last night within the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) will intensify.
According to Pagasa forecaster Benison Estareja, the typhoon was last seen 285 km northeast of Basco, Batanes.
It has a wind speed of 55 kph and a gust of 70 kph.
TD Igme is moving north at a speed of 15 kph.
It has no direct effect on the Philippines, but bad weather strengthens the existence of southwesterly winds.
So expect bad weather and rain in large parts of our country.
