It is possible that President Rodrigo Duterte will announce tomorrow that he will replace Ricardo Morales as president and CEO of the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth).
According to Sen. Christopher “Bong” Go, it is said that President Duterte is already being pressured to be replaced by the resigned Morales.
Go said in an interview.
He also said that President Duterte wants the next president of PhilHealth to clean up the agency from corruption from top to bottom.
He also said that the next leader of PhilHealth must have the “willpower” to do the job and have zero tolerance for corruption.
It will be recalled that Morales stepped down recently amid the issue of corruption in the state insurer and even in his fight against lymphoma.
But Morales insisted that there was no “iota of evidence” that would link him to the alleged anomaly in the agency.
