CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – Police did not directly answer the cause of the sudden death of the controversial Kuratong Baleleng Gang group former Ozamiz City Councilor Ricardo “Ardot” Parojinog but information surfaced that he experienced cardiac arrest .
It was temporarily handed over to the mini-cell of the Ozamiz City Police Station from his trip to Metro Manila for his case to be read in the city court today.
In an interview, Maj Jonathan Astillero, chief of Police Community Relations of the Misamis Occidental PNP, announced that although the attending physician did not have an official medical statement, he paid attention to Parojinog when he was taken to the hospital but was believed to have suffered a heart attack. .
Astillero said this is the reason why the personnel of the Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) Region 10 immediately went to the cell where the accused was locked up to get any evidence that they could use in their scientific investigation.
Police Regional Office Region 10 (PRO-10) Spokesperson Lt. Col. Mardi Hortillosa said they are waiting for the result of the investigation because if it turns out that there was foul play in Parojinog’s death, the Crimina Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) will also enter for an in-depth investigation.
Ardot was temporarily detained in Metro Manila for being a high profile person who was first arrested while hiding in Taiwan in May 2019.
He is also the brother of the late Ozamiz City Mayor Reynaldo “Aldong” Parojinog Sr. who was first employed by the group of former Ozamiz City Police Station commander Lt. Col. Jovie Espenido for the accusation of being involved in the widespread illegal drug trade in the country on July 30, 2017.
