‘Ulysses,’ continues to grow stronger; signal No. 3, already elevated to Metro Manila and surrounding areas

Typhoon Ulysses intensified in recent hours, while in the eastern part of Luzon.

According to Pagasa, it has climbed into the typhoon category and it is possible that the force will increase before the landfall in Quezon province.

It was last seen 100 km north of Virac, Catanduanes.

It is moving west northwest at a speed of 20 kph.

It has a wind speed of 125 kph and a gust of 155 kph.

SIGNAL NO. 3:
Southern portion of Aurora, southern portion of Nueva Ecija, eastern portion of Pampanga, Bulacan, Metro Manila, Cavite, Laguna, Rizal, northern and central portions of Quezon, including Polillo Islands, Catanduanes, Camarines Norte and northern portion of Camarines Sur

SIGNAL NO. 2:
Central and southern portions of Quirino, central and southern portions of Nueva Vizcaya, southern portion of Benguet, southern portion of La Union, Pangasinan, Zambales, Bataan, Tarlac, remaining areas in Pampanga, other parts of Nueva Ecija, remaining parts of Aurora , Batangas, other areas in Quezon, Marinduque, northern portion of Occidental Mindoro, including Lubang Island, northern portion of Oriental Mindoro, remaining parts of Camarines Sur, Albay, Sorsogon, Burias and Ticao Islands

SIGNAL NO. 1:
Isabela, rest of Quirino, rest of Nueva Vizcaya, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, other areas of Benguet, Abra, Ilocos Sur, rest of La Union, rest of Occidental Mindoro, rest of Oriental Mindoro, Romblon , other places in Masbate; Northern Samar, northern portion of Samar province and northern portion of Eastern Samar
