Rains due to the low pressure area (LPA) monitored outside the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) have widened.
According to Pagasa, it was last seen 700 km east of General Santos City.
The Zamboanga Peninsula, Central Visayas and Eastern Visayas are expected to experience rain.
Thunderstorms will bring rain to Caraga, Northern Mindanao and the rest of the Visayas.
So far, it has little chance of becoming a full-fledged typhoon, but Pagasa does not rule out such a possibility.
