President-elect Joe Biden will be sworn in tomorrow at 12:00 noon (1AM time in the Philippines) as the 46th president of the United States.
This will be followed by tradition and ceremony in conjunction with the ongoing threat of coronavirus pandemic and tight security due to the January 6 Capitol Hill attack.
Biden and his wife Jill are scheduled to stay at Blair House located opposite the White House in Lafayette Square.
The US government uses the facility whenever a special visitor comes to the United States.

Senator Mitch McConnell and Congressman Kevin McCarthy will be representing Republicans, while Senator Chuck Schumer and Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi will be in the Democratic Party. After the mass, the motorcade will be headed to the Capitol, where the riots took place due to the attack by the supporters of outgoing President Donald Trump.
Biden will take the oath of office once the swearing-in of Vice President-elect Kamala Harris is completed and then he will deliver his inaugural speech. It is expected that the said speech will include his camp’s plans on how to deal with the various crises in the US as well as the rebuilding of its economy.
The National Mall will be closed from the Capitol to the Lincoln Memorial due to the threat of COVID-19 and also due to the tight security of the national guards.
Biden will then head to Arlingtonb National Cemetery outside Washington to place a wreath on the Tomb of the Unknowb Soldier. He will be joined by former US Presidents Barack Obama, George W. Bush and Bill Clinton.
From Arlington Biden will ride the motorcade back to the White House and for the first time will enter his new home in four years. It is also expected that Biden will immediately sign his first executive orders upon arrival at the White House.
