Miss Mexico, kinoronahang Miss Universe 2020; Ph’s bet Rabiya, Top 20 finish

Screen_Shot_2021-05-17_at_11_2021_05_17_11_05_22Mahigit 70 sa pinakamagagandang kababaihan sa buong mundo ang nagtipon sa Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino sa Hollywood, Florida, para sa 69th Miss Universe pageant.

Ito ay isang pageant na matagal nang naantala – hindi ito nangyari noong 2020 dahil sa COVID-19 pandemya. Ngunit noong Mayo 17, alas-8 ng umaga (Mayo 16 sa Florida), “The Most Beautiful Day in the Universe” ay sa wakas ay nairaos.

Tinanghal bilang bagong Miss Universe ang kandidata ng Mexico na si Andrea Meza.

Ito’y sa katatapos na coronation night sa Hollywood, FL kung saan ipinasa na ng South African at 2019 Miss Universe Zozibini Tunziy ang prestihiyosong korona.

Iginawad naman ang second runner-up kay Miss Mexico, habang first runner-up ang Miss Puerto Rico.

Bago sa Top 3, sumalang sa nakagawiang question and answer portion ang Top 5 na kinabibilangan ng Peru,Dominican Republic, Brazil, India at Mexico.

Matapos nito, nagpatalbugan pa ang Peru,Dominican Republic, Brazil, India at Mexico at binigyan sila ng panahon para magtalumpati  para sa final word.

Dito nga nangibabaw ang pambato ng Mexicoa.

Samantala, una kanina ay nakapasok hanggang sa Top 20 si Miss PhilippinesRabiya Mateo ngunit laglag na ito pagdating sa Top 10.
