SANTIAGO CITY – Some Netizens on Social Media criticized the mass wedding held on May 28 in the City despite the venue remaining in the Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine or MECQ.
Some Netizens expressed their opinion about the said program.
According to Mitz Oliver, he requested that the said program not cause a wider virus infection among the attendees.
He said it seems hesitant to lay down the Minimum Health Protocol in place and hopefully the program will be implemented only through Online.
City Mayor Joseph Tan clarified that such programs are carried out in accordance with the mandate of the National Government that Local Government Units are required to do.
He also ensured proper adherence to the Minimum Health Protocol, particularly the wearing of Facemasks, Face shields and social distancing with the help of implementing agencies.
