Grammy-nominated producer and director Paul Caslin is bringing his skills and contacts from the entertainment industry into crypto as the founder of the new play-to-earn (P2E) game Doge Dash.
“I was in the crypto space for the last year or so as an investor when it suddenly dawned on me that there was a huge hole in the market for a classic 2D side-scrolling P2E game where players could simply collect coins, like in Super Mario, and those coins, once collected, would be transferred to the players’ crypto wallets… I call it ‘crypto gaming made easy.’”
Caslin is well known in the entertainment industry, having worked with the likes of Rihanna, Sir Paul McCartney, Eminem and Justin Bieber, to name a few. He hopes to bring some Hollywood flair to crypto and to make it appeal to a mainstream audience.
“The crypto space is so insular and inward-facing. I’m trying to break down the walls and make it appealing to the 99% outside of the crypto bubble with a straightforward yet effective marketing strategy and a kick-ass game. My plan is simple”:
-
Create a free-to-play (F2P) game, Doge Dash, on the App and Google Play stores that will appeal to a mainstream audience.
-
Use the F2P version to get people interested and keen to learn more about how they can earn cash by playing the P2E crypto version.
-
Use targeted marketing in both the crypto world and the real world to raise brand awareness. This will raise the token price for holders.
Caslin is confident that this marketing approach will result in adoption from both mainstream and crypto-centric audiences.
On Nov. 11, Caslin appeared on the Crypto Tonight show where he discussed with host Darko the amazing progress Doge Dash has made since its launch and how the marketing sweet spot was to appeal to both the crypto and real worlds.
In just six weeks since the stealth launch, Doge Dash has amassed over 55,000 holders, more than 2.2 million plays of the game demo, and it has seen countless YouTube and TikTok features, all while trending as No. 1 on CoinMarketCap every week. A strategic listing has also been announced with tier 1 cryptocurrency exchange BitMart, which will see a week-long promotion with the Asian-based exchange including AMAs, gameplay competitions and cross-promotion on socials.
The future is bright for Doge Dash, with the first nonfungible token drop on Dec. 4 and the long-awaited game launch in the middle of the month. But that’s not all. Caslin said:
“Doge Dash is the first in a series of games all based on the DOGEDASH native token. We plan to launch Doge Dash 3D in Q2 2022, as well as either our own metaverse or by purchasing land to create Doge World in an already established metaverse.”
