Gerald Anderson finally broke his silence over Bea Alonzo unfollowing him on Instagram. The incident instigated rumors that the rumored couple already parted ways. In an interview with the actor at the appreciation lunch of My Perfect You, Gerald finally addressed the controversy.
"It was a simple misunderstanding and personally naayos na po namin and 'yun po ang importante na to move on from this. You know Pia (Wurtzbach, his leading lady in the movie) has been nothing but sobrang professional at sobrang sarap kasama sa first lead (role) niya. First day pa lang sobrang napabilib na ako sa kanya. And we are just happy sa outcome. Sa personal life namin, okay na okay and I think 'yun ang pinakaimportante is to move on from this. Everything is good," he said.
Speculations about the couple's break-up made headlines and some people think that Pia has something to do about it.
But this week, people were confused when Bea followed him again on Instagram, which led to the assumption that it was all for the movie's promo.
On the issue of Bea unfollowing Pia on Instagram, Gerald reiterated, "It was a misunderstanding, iyon na 'yun. It was a misunderstanding. Ang importante everything is good."
My Perfect You has already gained 136 million worldwide as of this writing and Gerald is thankful to those who supported the film. "Over the Holy Week ang saya dahil ang dami pa ring nanood at napalabas na po kami sa abroad, ang ganda ng comments nila, 'yung mga feedback, nakakataba ng puso. We're happy kasi pinaghirapan namin lahat 'yan," Gerald said.
Bea Alonzo and Gerald Anderson first dated back in 2010, however, they broke up because according to the latter, he's still immature during that time. Six years later, after doing the movie "How To Be Yours," the two rekindled their relationship.
